About this event
Welcome to the Sunday Market Movement Class event! Join us every 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on the St. Petersburg High School campus for a day filled with physical activity, local vendors, and opportunities to connect with your community. Whether you're looking to shop, eat, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, this event is the perfect way to spend your Sunday. Come out and support local businesses while mingling with your neighbors. We can't wait to see you there!
Get up and get moving at the Sunday Market St. Pete on the St. Petersburg High School Campus every 1st and 3rd Sunday! Our Community Movement Classes take place in the grassy area next to 26th Street and 7th Avenue North from 9:30-10:30am.
Moving Meditations sponsors these classes, and alternates Yoga and Mobility classes with Rissa Wray and movement practices from different physical fitness coaches and yoga teachers from around the Tampa Bay area! Classes are offered by donation and will utilize bodyweight exercise, mindful movement, and range of motion.

Keep an eye out for the Moving Meditations sign in table in the grassy lawn area near the big produce tent!

Class begins at 9:30am, so it's a good idea to arrive 15-30 minutes early to park, sign in, and get settled.
It is a one-hour class from 9:30-10:30am.
There is ample parking available in the St. Pete High School lots accessible from both 5th Ave N and 28th St N.
Simply wear something cozy in which you can stretch and move around easily! This time of year in Florida, it is a good idea to have layering options so you can remove a long-sleeve if it's warm or add a layer if the temperature drops.
Yes! Weather-permitting, class is held in the grassy area next to 26th Street and 7th Avenue North.
No, this event will be canceled in cases of inclement weather. Keep an eye on the Facebook event for updates!
Water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and your yoga mat/towel/blanket should suffice! You're welcome to bring any props you like for your practice, as well.

No! Every First Sunday, Rissa of Moving Meditations will offer a yoga and mobility class. Every Third Sunday, a guest teacher will offer a movement class of their specialty! Stay tuned to see who's on the schedule.

The Sunday Market St. Pete itself is a dog-friendly market, though you may have a hard time tending to your dog's needs while participating in a Community Movement Class! Best to have man's best friend join after class, not during.
The Sunday Market St. Pete is a family-friendly market, but the Community Movement Class is adults only unless otherwise specified by one of our guest teachers! Please reach out ahead of time with any questions or requests for exception.
Yes! Bringing your own mat, towel, or yoga blanket is a good idea. We have a few yoga blankets to spare if you or a friend are in a pinch.
The Sunday Market St. Pete is open from 10am to 2pm, so plan to peruse and enjoy yourself after class!
Yes! The Sunday Market St. Pete features both prepared food vendors and produce vendors. You can eat a hot meal at the market AND take food home if you like.
No. We offer these classes on a sliding scale to lower the barrier to entry for all community members, but it is NOT free. Please donate what you can for class.
